Quite simply, the joys of working from home stem from the fact that I get to actually work. This TED Talk is all about the common misconception that workplaces are the most productive environments, hence why companies spend so much money on fully-networked uber-modern offices. But working from home requires staying motivated throughout the day, breaks that get the blood flowing to encourage ideas and sharpen focus. I am more productive than I’ve ever been and my clients get to reap the rewards. Plus, the time I save by not commuting – more than 10 hours per week – is nothing to sneeze at. The joys of being more productive in less time are immeasurable. Now the question becomes, why aren’t more businesses on board?
