Last night, I watched The Minimalists, a documentary based on the book about… minimalism. The point? Minimalism isn’t about minimalism at all, it’s actually about abundance. In short, less is more. Naturally, I applied these lessons to work. Minimalism at work means focusing on what is most important, prioritizing the toughest or most mind-numbing task, and simplifying to identify the most direct path forward. Working with a minimalist attitude opens up opportunities for abundance, and I believe in celebrating this abundance. For me, this means giving back. This week, I committed to donating monthly to Charity Water as part of their Spring campaign. Now I have less money to spend on stuff I don’t need. Win-win!
